What Does Aji Filters Taste Like?
Cotton has larger holes resulting in more oils and fine particles to pass through resulting in a creamy and thick bodied taste profile.
As well as this, Aji Filters are fast flowing and allow you to grind finer and inherently extract higher. -
Why Isn't Your Cotton Organic?
Did you know that there is no Organic cotton produced in Australia? This is actually not a surprise to us as even though a lot of the cotton is produced without pesticides or chemicals the certification is simply too expensive. We made sure the cotton we use is organic even though there isn’t the certification. Our cotton is 100% Natural, even the thread we use is 100% cotton too!

Aji Filter EOL
All good things come to an end, even our Aji Filters. Cotton is a natural product that over time slowly starts to deteriorate, when this starts to happen and you can no longer use your Aji Filter you can compost your Aji Filter.
Aji Filters are made up entirely of cotton and even sewn with cotton thread, cotton is a natural material that is easy to return back to the earth. -
What Micron Size is your material?
Because Aji Filters are made from a hand-loomed cotton we don’t have away to control the size or definitively say the holes are this large.
This being said, Aji Filters have larger holes compared to paper. This results in more oils and particles to pass through resulting in the classic cotton flavour profile. -
Can You Use Aji filter as a coffee strainer cloth?
YES, While Aji Filters are traditionally used as a filter to replace paper filters you can also use them to strain coffee as you would a cheesecloth. In saying this please only use Aji Filters with coffee as this may effect the flavour profile and longevity.
