HOW TO CLEAN AJI FILTERs
IS CLOTH HARD TO CLEAN?
Cloth filters have a reputation for being difficult to clean, however there is a big miscommunication around this.
While cleaning and up-keeping cloth filters does require more work in comparison to it’s paper filter disposable counterparts Aji Filters are actually very easy to clean and maintain.
Aji Filters are super easy to clean, unlike other filters the woven fibres are much tighter and barely hold onto the coffee grinds.
There are so many ways to clean your Aji Filter however this is the way we like to go about it.
HOW TO CLEAN AJI FILTER:
1. First, discard the coffee grounds into a bin/compost and turn the filter inside-out and run it under the tap.
2. gently scrub with your hand and then wring out the water a couple of times.
After your filter is clean you are ready for your next brew, or if you wish to store your filter until the next time you brew, keep your filter in a glass of water. Any old glass or Tupperware is fine but we like to store our Aji filters in a Centrifuge Tube as they are water-tight, easy to transport and are perfect to hold your Aji Filter in the fridge.
If you are using your Aji Filter daily, don’t worry about keeping your filter in the fridge, We only recommend storing your filter under water and in the fridge when you plan on not using your Aji filter for longer durations.
